PIACT Names Shippee Committee Chairperson of the Year for Second Consecutive Year

HARTFORD, Conn.—The Pro-fessional Insurance Agents of New Connecticut Inc. has named Nathan L. Shippee, Committee Chairperson of the Year for the second consecutive year on March 8, during its annual business meeting at the PIACT Annual Convention at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. Shippee is vice president of sales & marketing of Workers’ Compensation Trust in Wallingford, Conn.

The award honors the PIACT volunteer who best demonstrates dedication and effort in chairing one of PIACT’s committees. He received this honor for his work as membership and programs chairperson of the Association Programs Committee.

“As an active member of the association, Nate’s contributions to PIACT are numerous and have helped to strengthen the organization,” said President Kenneth A. Distel.

An active member of PIACT, Shippee serves as vice president of the association and as business issues chairperson of the association’s Legislative/Business Issues Committee. He also is a member of the Executive/Budget & Finance Committee and has served as PIACT’s representative for the Connecticut FAIR Plan.
