Big ‘I’ Member Reappointed to Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I”) congratulates Quincy L. Branch, president and CEO of Branch Benefits Consultants in Las Vegas, who has now been officially reappointed to the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance (FACI). FACI is a committee composed of various state government officials, insurance professionals and consumer advocates that advises the U.S. Treasury’s Federal Insurance Office (FIO). The FIO monitors the U.S. insurance sector and the extent to which traditionally underserved communities and consumers have access to affordable non-health insurance products. It also helps administer the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program and advises the Treasury Secretary on national and international insurance matters.

“Quincy is an active Big ’I’ member and leader who currently serves on the Big ‘I’ Government Affairs Committee and previously served as chair of the Big ‘I’ National Young Agents Committee,” says Charles Symington, Big “I” senior vice president for external, industry and government affairs. “Quincy has done an excellent job advising the FIO and will continue to lend his experience and knowledge as the voice of independent insurance agents and brokers on FACI. The Big ‘I’ commends him on his reappointment.”

Branch was originally appointed in 2017 and will now serve a second three-year term on the Committee. He is a second-generation insurance professional who started his insurance career in college working for his father’s agency and has continued to climb the ranks in the industry. He is an active member of the Las Vegas business community. In 2013, Branch was honored by Vegas, Inc. as one of Las Vegas’s 40 Under 40. He was also selected as one of Employee Benefits Advisors’ 10 Rising Stars in 2013 and Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 for 2015.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue offering my insurance expertise in guiding the FIO on policy decisions,” says Branch. “I look forward to representing the interests of independent insurance agents in promoting wise decisions that foster integrity and protect the state-based regulatory system.”

Branch earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration-management at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He and his wife Tamika have two children.
