Largest insurance convention in Connecticut features a brand new format

Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut’s Annual Convention, the largest industry networking and education event in the state of Connecticut, will be held at Foxwoods Resort Casino Mashantucket, March 5-6.

“The PIACT Annual Convention is the must-attend event of the year for all industry professionals throughout the region,” said PIACT President Mark Connelly, CIC. “The convention offers attendees the opportunity to participate in educational seminars and network with other industry professionals. They also will be able to view the latest insurance products and services available to them and their clients during the trade show, all in a brand new format.”

In addition to the induction of PIACT’s 2020-21 slate of officers, the event will include a networking reception, followed by a coffee and dessert reception on Thursday evening.

Agents will have ample opportunity to earn continuing education credits over two days. Three education sessions are available: Cybersecurity Laws: An Insurance Agent’s Guide to Compliance taught by Clare Irvine, Esq; The Ins and Outs of Cybersecurity Insurance Coverages taught by Bradford J. Lachut, Esq.; and E&O—Tackling Today’s Issues, presented by Cathy Trischan, CPCU, CIC, CRM, AU, ARM, AAI, CRIS, MLIS, TRIP.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
