PartnerRe Appoints Head of U.S. Casualty

PartnerRe has just announced the appointment of Gareth Stanley as Head of U.S. Casualty. Mr. Stanley assumes responsibility to lead Partner Re’s  strategic effort to r grow and develop its U.S. Casualty business by providing clients with relevant and impactful casualty reinsurance solutions, the announcement states. He will be based in PartnerRe’s Stamford office and report to Jon Colello, CEO P&C Americas.

Mr. Stanley has extensive experience in casualty reinsurance and has spent the majority of his 30-year career in casualty underwriting and leadership positions in London, Bermuda and New York, most recently as head of US Broker Market, Traditional Casualty, at Trans Re.

Mr. Colello welcomed Mr. Stanley to PartnerRe, saying, “We are excited to have an individual of Gareth’s caliber join our team. His appointment is one of a number of recent external hires and internal promotions that will further strengthen our leadership position in the P&C market.”
