New IMUA Officers & Board Members Elected
More than 475 underwriters, brokers, claims personnel and key industry personnel clicked on to participate in the 90th Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA) Virtual Annual Meeting. The two half-day virtual meetings were held on May 25th & 26th.
The first order of business was the announcement of the approval of the election results for the 2021 slate of officers. Jessica Frankovich, CPCU, AMIM, ARM, ARe, Executive Vice President, Custom Property & Inland Marine Seneca Insurance Co., a Crum & Forster Company, was elected as the association’s new chairperson; Anthony Falcone, Intact, as Deputy Chair, and Arthur Sieder, Great American Vice-Chair.
Commenting on her acceptance, Jessica Frankovich praised the work of the IMUA and its continuing commitment to advancing the goals of the inland marine industry, considering the events of the past year. She said, “I am extremely honored to serve this prestigious organization. But more importantly, I am proud to be a part of this group of dedicated professionals. I thank you, our members, for this unique opportunity. It has been extremely gratifying for me to witness first-hand, as a board member and as a member of the executive team, the incredible progress the IMUA has made over the past few years in developing the talents of so many young members of this association. Looking to my first term’s agenda, I intend to build upon our successes to date and create an even stronger entity by furthering the education and professional development curriculum to meet the challenges that face this industry in the months and years ahead. I look forward to building an even stronger IMUA.”
Ms. Frankovitch also recognized the hard work and dedication of Bruce Jervis, who has served as the IMUA’s Chairperson for the past two and a half years. “We are all deeply grateful for his leadership in moving the association forward, especially during the adversities we all witnessed over the past year. I also want to recognize the amazing job of the IMUA staff who continue to push each of us to become a stronger organization.”
