IMUA Launches New Broker Membership Category
Marsh & Amwins First Brokers To Join
New York, NY,– The Inland Marine Underwriters Association announced it has launched a new broker membership category. The latest broker category comes with a modest member assessment and entitles all interested brokerage firm employees to access the IMUA remote/virtual education curriculum at no additional fee.
According to IMUA President & CEO Kevin O’Brien, “Member insurance companies are always seeking new ways to increase their interaction with the broker community, so we developed a very attractive program for them.”
As part of the program, broker members can fully participate in IMUA’s All Access Education program, enabling them registration to all upcoming virtual/remote events along with total access to IMUA’s extensive library of recorded webinars, e-learning courses, reports & papers as well as recorded classes, all at no cost. “The education curriculum focuses on the primary classes of inland marine insurance—Builders Risk, Transportation, Contractors Equipment, and Fine Art,” said O’Brien.
Marsh and AmWins, two nationally acclaimed brokerage firms, are the first to embrace the new IMUA category. Commenting on the program, Janelle Griffith, Sr. Vice President, Marsh, says, “IMUA education is top-notch.” At the same time, Zach Bowling, Executive Vice President, AmWins, notes, “The e-learning courses are great for onboarding.”
“We expect All Access Education and IMUA Broker Membership to be very popular with the broker community. IMUA is the premier source for inland marine insurance education,” said O’Brien.
